Home Inspections

The purchase of a house, new or pre-owned, represents much more than a major financial commitment. You're making a commitment to a future lifestyle; investing in what you hope will be a sound, protective home for you and your family.  A professional home inspection, which meets or exceeds the Texas Real Estate Commission’s standards of practice, will give you what you want, an objective review of the condition of your new home before you move in.

It always pays to be informed and the security of knowing your home's true condition can save you time and worry.  This is why at Premo Inspections and Energy Audits, I am here to serve as your inspector in the Austin, Texas area for the evaluation of the property you plan to purchase.

When only the best will do for your new home, schedule an appointment with Premo Inspections and Energy Audits.

Can you see what is wrong here?

Although the drilling of window frame sills to install security sensors is common in this area, this installation method may void the manufactures warranty and is frequently responsible for water leaks into the wall cavity below.  Over time the sealant used to seal the sensor in place may become loose, cracked or no longer adheres to the adjacent sill and sensor, thus leaving a crack or void in the window sill which would allow water to penetrate into the cavity below the window. There are several other types of contact sensors widely available in the market place which are as easily installed and do not require drilling of the window frame sill.
